On the regional fisheries effect of the some invasive fish in dam lake of Kayseri

In this study, the effects of invasive fish species found in Bayramhacılı, Bahçelik and Yamula Dam Lakes in Kayseri Province on socio-economics of fishery cooperatives were investigated. It's were studied with 21 fishermen from that 13 of Yamula Cooperative, 3 of Bayramhacılı Cooperative and 5 of Bahçelik Cooperative. A questionnaire consisting of 207 closed and open ended questions was prepared for the research. Statistical tests were applied to the data set obtained from the surveys. The average age of fishermen is between 40-49 years with a frequency of 57.14%. The average length and age of boats are Yamula boats are 6.71 m - 9 years, Bayramhacılı boats are 4.42 m - 15 years, and Bahçelik boats are 7.22 m - 1 years. In cooperative fisherman's, the marriage rate is 90.48%. 47.61% of the fishermen are primary school, 42.86% are secondary and 9.53% are associate degree graduates. 90.48% of the fishermen were farming before fishing, and 52.38% work till in agriculture and animal husbandry together with fishing. According to fishermen, the decrease in the amount of prey is mostly due to water pollution, poaching and invasive fish species. In 2018 hunting period, 387 500 kg silver fish (Atherina boyeri) and 5 900 kg pond fish (Carassius gibelio) were hunted by cooperatives and 790 875 TL income was obtained. 37.50% of the fishermen do not encounter any marketing problems, 22.50% low price, 25% of the money can not get on time, 2.50% of the problem is experiencing low demand. Total gross profit of cooperatives; It is 38 220 TL for Bayramhacılı fishermen, 73 780 TL for horticultural fishermen and 194 813 TL for Yamula fishermen. Bayramhacılı Cooperative 39.39%, Yamula Cooperative 49.36% and Bahçelik Cooperative has a 65.04% economic profitability.
