Children's medialiteracy in Kazakhstan and Turkey

In today's world, where the use of media is increasing day by day, the importance of people being conscious media users emerges. The media now affects the thoughts, behaviors and attitudes of the society and affects them emotionally. Considering our close relationship with the media today, it is obvious that we cannot stay away from the influence of the media by completely isolating ourselves. Instead of looking at the messages coming from the media as if they are all true and treating them in this way, it is a more useful approach to take a critical perspective and decide what is right and wrong, and which messages are prepared for what purpose. In order to achieve this, individuals need to be conscious of the media. Media literacy is of great importance for people to use the media effectively and correctly and to reach the right information with the right source scanning. In the age we live in, the intensive use of media tools that have emerged with the development of technology by children and adults makes media education more necessary than in the past. Now, being media literate has become as important as being able to read and write.
