Abstract (EN)

This study aimed to investigate Heat Shock Protein 70 activity in intestine cells of goats infected with coccidiosis. For this purpose 27 goats from both sexes, various breeds, and ages were used. 18 of these goats were naturally infected with coccidiosis, the remaning 9 goats showed no pathological lesions and used as control group. Intestine samples collected and fixed with known methods after necropsy. The sections for immunohistochemistry and heamotoxlyn–eosin stainings were made and these sections stained with routine methods. Histopathological results were epithelial damage, hyperplasia, nodular lesions, various stages of Eimeria, and inflammatory infiltration in mucosal and submucosal layers of the intestine. Immunohistochemistry showed Hsp70 expression with variable intensity. In conclusion, we thought that Hsp70 expression was a result of cellular stress caused by coccidiosis infection.
