Abstract (EN)

This study aims to analyze the qualifying adjectives of the first version of Gulistan, originally in Persian and translated into Kipchak Turkish by Seyf-i Sarāyī in the Turkish-Mamluk field in Egypt in 1391. The purpose of examining this first version, which is the subject of our study, is to examine and analyze the qualifying adjectives in Seyf-i Sarāyî's "Kitābu Gülistān bi't-Türkī" both structurally and functionally, to understand the level of diversity and usefulness of qualifying adjectives with classification and classification, to discover the semantic richness it adds to the text, and to prepare the ground for a better understanding and comparison of the works belonging to the Turkish language periods. First of all, the text was scanned and words and phrases that are qualifying adjectives were identified. Then, the identified qualifying adjectives were grouped under headings according to their functions. Again, the same adjectives and adjective groups were analyzed and grouped according to their structures this time. The sentences containing these qualifying adjectives were translated into contemporary Turkish. The translated lines and sentences were transferred under each heading with a few examples. Since an adjective can have more than one use, these uses are given by creating index tables under the headings. In this way, it was possible to clearly see the qualifying adjective, the qualified noun, the number of uses of the qualifying adjective and the place of the adjective in the work.
