"Hisarcilar" in the influence of classic Turkish poetry: Mehmet Çinarli

The subject of this study is "Hisarcılar under the influence of classic Turkish poetry: Mehmet Çınarlı". In this context, the life of Mehmet Çınarlı, his literary personality, his works, the years of Journal of Hisar, the concept of tradition and the his poems are included in the sections where traces of classical literature are sought. Mehmet Çınarlı is one of the leading figures in Turkish poetry during the Republican Period. Due to the Journal of Hisar in art life, the publishing feature and the writing and poetry side place itself in the position it deserves in history of Turkish Literature. Çınarlı, one of the founders of Journal of Hisar, published significant part of his studies in this journal. During the periods when the journal took a break from publishing life, articles and poems were published in other journals. Mehmet Çınarlı, who gave more weight to classical literature throughout his art life, aimed to create a new Turkish poem with his own additions instead of using the old. In his poetry, he focused on the sounds that would form harmony and music. When he died of a heart attack in the Gölcük earthquake on August 17, 1999, he left behind his writings and poems. Due to his contributions to Turkish literature, Mehmet Çınarlı is considered an irreplaceable person.
