Factor affecting on use of e-government application on Kocaeli region

In this study of thesis, the e-government subject which has an important place among the notions that internet technology has brought is explicated. While the e-government subject is handled by taking Turkey into consideration; the progress e- government studies have made and the point it reached are analyzed, the social dimensions belonging to the actualized studies were examined and a situation determination is made.Basic concepts are mentioned such as knowledge, knowledge society and knowledge technology in the first section.Applications of e-government in Turkey?s and other countries? are mentioned with concepts of meaning and importance of e-government, need of e-government in the second section.A questionnaire and it?s results that is done with concepts such as frequency of using e-government applications with individual?s demographic properties, computer literacy level, evaluation of using cost and examining effects of level of using Internet in daily life are presented in third section by considering state and citizen dimension.Results of questionnaire are discussed in the last section.
