Management accounting systems at hospitality firms and application

Today?s companies have to use different tools and methods ?that can create competitive advantage for them? to survive and growth under the global market conditions and profit pressure which they face with. For a sustainable competitive advantage, company has to seize on effectiveness at internal processes and efficiency. Management accounting system is working for supporting company and especially the ?decision? mechanism which is the primary fact of management to always be well-timed, correct and creating competitive advantage. Management accounting system ensures more effective and correct results for decision taking process of management by giving chance to analyze many variables together and also linking them each other.Hospitality businesses are facing with intensive competition and growth pressure as a sector which mostly gets affected from the results of globalization. Especially the labor-intensive working style and less automation chances of the sector, push the companies to have effective management and system understanding. Hence, hotel management should be supported by a well working system when taking decisions and analyzing the effects of those decisions.In this study; it has been searched the structure of management accounting system and usage of the tools of the system in Anemon Hotels Chain that has 13 hotels in 9 cities of Turkey. However, it is tried to asses the current situation of the company and enhance proposals in the light of findings.
