Abstract (EN)

In the study, the geography of folk culture of Kovanlık District, which is located within the borders of Döşemealtı district of Antalya province, was emphasized, and the importance of its sustainability and preservation was tried to be revealed by analyzing the geography of folk culture. In the literature reviews, it has been seen that many subjects such as folk culture, traditional agriculture, animal husbandry culture and settlement have been studied, but the sustainability of the forgotten folk culture with the innovation located within the borders of Antalya, which is a developed city in terms of tourism, has not been studied. Since I grew up in the folk culture, I had the opportunity to know and live this culture. As a method within the scope of the study, field work will be done by going to the field. Photographs will be taken and archived. In the research, observation and interview techniques will be applied within the scope of qualitative research method. The interviewees will consist of people who are relevant and knowledgeable about the subject appropriate for the purpose. As a sample, people who weave Kovanlık carpets with traditional methods in Kovanlık District were selected. Audio recordings will be made by asking questions to the carpet master.
