Özet (EN)
The work done by women living in rural areas is not valued as much as the work done by men, depending on the patriarchal structure and gender roles; women lag behind men in many aspects such as wages, property ownership, income management, employment, etc. Starting from this basic problem, in this study, it is aimed to reveal the gender profile of women and men living in rural areas in terms of rural and agricultural activities. In the study, individual interviews were conducted with 50 families living in Hamdilli neighborhood (village) of Ceyhan district. The most important finding of the research is that gender inequality continues to a significant extent in rural and agricultural life. For this reason, it is very important to put policies related to gender equality into practice; It can be recommended to carry out conciousness and awareness activities for all segments of the society.
