Abstract (EN)

Brucellosis is one of the chronic, contagious and subacute zoonotic diseases caused by bacteria of the genus Brucella seen in humans and animals. The disease causes abortion, infertility, mastitis, premature birth, placenta retention and metritis in female animal and orchitis in males, by placing in the genital organs of animals (cattle, Buffalo, sheep, goats, pigs, etc.) and in females of mammals. Brucella abortus, which is a Brucella bacterium, was investigated in 202 raw cow milk collected from Kırşehir province center and 3 districts connected to province center and 14 different villages connected to the province center between March and September of 2016 in this study. Milk Ring Test (MRT), Rose Bengal Test (RBT), Standard Tube Agglutination Test (STA) and direct sowing method were used for this purpose. The results of 69 (34.15%) of the 202 cow milk carried out the Milk Ring test (MRT) were found positive in the study. 35 (17.32%) of 202 cow milk samples were identified as suspicious as a result of The Rose Bengal test Standard and Tube Agglutination Test. Brucella Agara was planted in the samples which were suspicious in our research. Brucella factor was isolated from 35 (17.32%) of the 202 cow milk samples as a result of sowing. It has been determined that the Brucella factor exists in the Kırşehir provinces and villages, also milk and dairy products may pose a risk in terms of brucellosis according to the results of our study .
