In order for the study to achieve its objectives: the researcher followed the analytical inductive method when collecting verses related to the word punishment in Surat Al-Nur, analyzing the collected verses and extracting the rulings related to the punishment of whoever committed an evil. The sayings of commentators and linguists have been referred to in explaining the verses and deducing these benefits. The most important of the study are: God threatened those who violated His command and the command of His Prophet with serious, worldly punishments: such as annihilation, substitution, killing, and affliction with all kinds of pests, such as earthquakes and floods, and otherworldly, which is the torment of Hell and eternal torment, just as the Legislator stipulated the punishment of the adulterer and the slanderer of flogging, stoning, and exile in this world, and in the Hereafter humiliation, humiliation, and humiliation in Hell.
