Abstract (EN)

The Qur'an is the last book revealed by Allah. The main purpose of it is to bring people to the light out of the darkness, and it is clear, understandable and far from contradictions with all its meanings and adjectives. People have made a lot of efforts to understand the Qur'an since the first days it was revealed until now, and they produced countless work. However, it is sometimes misunderstood because of the political and sectarian concerns, personal benefits, and prejudiced approaches, although it is a self-explanatory book. It is clear that the Qur'an is a book that explains itself with its clear expressions and the application of the messenger who notifies it to people. The most important method of the interpretation of it is the self-exegesis of the Qur'an. Even if this method is sometimes abandoned, everyone agrees that the first and most important way of understanding the Qur'an is self-exegesis. As is known, the Qur'an was not revealed all at once and it was not divided into its subjects. The verses related to one subject are literally spread into the Qur'an. For this reason, the relationship between the verses should be well known for its correct understanding. In this sense, it is a muhkam, mutashabih and masani book. In order to understand it, integrity must be taken as a basis, and the language and the environment in which it reveals, historical and textual context of verses, and the human nature must be well known. Just as the Qur'an has revealed by Allah and with the knowledge, its explanation is by Allah and by the knowledge. Therefore, the Qur'an must be first understood from its context. The Qur'an itself expounds the Qur'an. What those who think about the Qur'an will do is not to explain it, but to reveal its explanation made by Allah. To do this, a community away from prejudices must take on this task. The exegesis of the Qur'an with the Qur'an is making absolute statements conditional, the allocation of general issues, the explanation of a subject stated in brief, the complement of a topic in different surahs or verses, and the explanation of a verse which is undefined or succinct. Moreover, it is the reconciliation of the verses that are supposed to be contradictory in the integrity of the Qur'an and the interpretation of strange words in more explicit terms. Key Words: Qur'an, Tafsir, The Integrity of the Qur'an, Muhkem, Mutashabih, Mesânî
