Abstract (EN)

This research has been carried out to arrange the lives of individuals who were taken under protection due to certain reasons and who took institutional care service, determine the problems encountered by them during adaptation process and the social support resources. Within the scope of the research, face to face interviews were held with 19 (nineteen) participants who have institutional care experience through purposive criterion sampling method. The researcher gathered the research data by taking into consideration the literature through using the interview form prepared by taking the opinions of experts who studied on site. First of all, the interviews were transferred into the texts and then subjected to the coding process by dividing them into main and sub themes through content analysis method by using Nvivo 10 program. The research data was interpreted by dividing participants into main and sub themes in line with the objectives of the research as in the form of following three themes: introductory information, life during institution care and life after institution care. Although the findings of the research display significantly parallelism with the literature, they put forward new findings regarding to the lives of individuals who have institutional care experience after leaving the institutional care. Within the scope of the research, it has been noted that the individuals who left the institutional care face the problems such as sheltering, economic, health, education, guidance and consultancy, tagging, employment, tagging at work, adaptation to the social life during the arrangement of their lives and the adaptation process. Findings have been found regarding to the fact that the social support resources within the surrounding of the individuals who left the institutional care play a significant role in the lives of the individuals, since such resources make contribution in tackling the problems faced during the arrangement of their lives and the adaptation process.
