Abstract (EN)
Logistics sector has become an important area for all countries in the global competition. Countries can gain superiority over their competitors thanks to their advantages in logistics. Therefore, the importance of evaluating the logistics sector as a performance indicator has emerged. This assessment indicator is called LPI and made by the World Bank. In this context LPI is of the greatest importance for countries to determine their logistical situation and develop strategies that can achieve more success in this field. Therefore, in this study, it is aimed to perform comparative efficiency analysis with Data Envelopment Analysis and Malmquist Total Factor Productivity Analysis methods in terms of logistic success of G20 countries, representing 85% of world economy, 75% of trade and two thirds of population. In addition, the logistic performance change during the 2007-2016 process was examined. For this purpose, firstly effective countries were determined by Data Envelopment Analysis method by using the data obtained from the World Bank database. In the following process, reference groups were identified for the countries that are below the efficiency limit. Then, analyzes were conducted to find potential improvement values for the countries under the efficiency limit. After then, Malmquist Total Factor Productivity Analysis was performed to determine the efficiency changes over the years. In terms of results, it was determined that country efficiency values and reference groups differed by years. In addition, in terms of efficiency types, it is seen that some countries have progressed positively and some countries have progressed negatively. Evaluations and comments were made regarding these results. Keywords: Logistic Performance Index, Data Envelopment Analysis, Malmquist Total Factor Productivity Analysis, G-20 Countries
