Özet (EN)

Low-e glasses are known as glasses with low emissivity values. The emissivity value, which is 0.87 in normal glasses, can be reduced to 0.04 in low-e glasses. Another common feature of low-e glasses is that they reduce the transmission of long wavelength rays and save energy. Because of these features, low-e glasses are widely used and studied today. In this study, the thermal performance of glasses was investigated. Seven samples of each of three different types of glass, namely TEC-15, Planibel G and G Fast, were tested, a total of 21 glasses. In the study, the oven was heated and the outer surface temperatures of the glasses placed on the oven lid were measured at five different points. First, the oven was heated to 50 °C and the values were recorded, then the oven was kept at a constant temperature for 3 minutes and the resulting values were recorded. These operations were repeated every 50 °C until 200 °C. As a result of the experiment, 840 data were examined. In addition, surface resistance test and fracture test were performed on the glasses. According to the test results; After keeping the oven at 200 °C for 3 minutes, it was seen that the temperature in TEC-15 glass was 74.78 °C, in Planibel G glass was 73.70 °C, and in G Fast glass was 72.11 °C. According to these temperature values, G Fast glass showed 3.7% lower temperature than TEC-15 glass, while Planibel G glass showed 1.4% lower temperature than TEC-15 glass. The glasses were evaluated by considering their thermal performance.
