Abstract (EN)

This study is about how the poets express themselves in pseudonym couplets in the ghazels of Sheikh-ul-Islam Yahyâ, Nâbî, Naili, Neşâtî, Nefʻî, Nev'izade Atayi, Sâbit and Vecdî, who are eight prominent poets of 17th century. In the introduction part of the study, preliminary information about pseudonym and pseudonym couplets were given and the importance of pseudonym couplets was emphasized in order to understand the individualities of the poets. In addition, the study mentioned the place of pseudonym in Old Turkish Literature, New Turkish Literature and Turkish Folk Literature. In the second part of the study, it was explained how the poets express themselves directly; and which aspects and features of their own they mention. In the third part were explained in what ways the poets describe themselves considering the external world and random events; and which specific aspects of their own they explain. The subject was tried to make more intelligible with the graphics related to the poets and the themes. In the fourth part of the study, a table about the titles that the poets used for themselves was shown.
