Abstract (EN)

There is a significant connection between the life and thought of Marquis de Sade, a French author and thinker. Sade has been taken seriously by many philosophers because of this connection between his writing and perversion. He chose to defend his thoughts and desires by establishing an extensive system and appealed to the rebellious power of art. Although Sade was not one of the most prominent thinkers of his time, he deserves serious intellectual consideration because our understanding of the Enlightenment would be incomplete without him. While Enlightenment philosophers attempted to elevate the mind, Sade sought to bring the body back into philosophy. He brought attention to the unity and inseparability of body and mind by bringing philosophy into the bedroom. The idealization of the female body is the first phase in the Sadean body project. In Sade's system aiming to liberate the body from discipline through a new education model, the body of the other is a dehumanized object of pleasure that can be claimed. Sade not only linked the body to philosophy, but also to politics and make it a point of opposition. His bodily resistance is not resisting nature. There is a "commit the same act commited in intoxication sober mindedly and in cold blood" mentality in his system. Libertines, who desire to discover what the body is capable of, aim to maintain the body's intoxicated resistance sober mindedly. Virtue, on the other hand, is a superstition and an enemy of the body that must be resisted. In the Sadean system, the only crime is against nature. The liberating aspect of eroticism is combined with the power of crime to challange prohobitions. All Sadean sex is based on the principle of transgression in the controdictory experiences of prohibitions and transgression. At the heart of this resistance is an act of defiance of society and everything it regards as divine. Crime as a means of increasing joy is also the principle that leads to transgressions of sexuality. For this reason, his characters attempt to justify criminal acts by presenting various arguments. In this study, the "unthinkable" relationship between the body and the thought of Marquis de Sade, whose relationship with the body is described as "perversion" in terms of established normative acceptance, will be examined as a possibility of political resistance.
