Transcription and Evaluation of the Work İlm-İ Terbiye-İ Etfâl Special for Schools This work, titled İlm-i Terbiye-i Etfâl, written by Irene Carre & Roger Liquier and translated from French by Necmettin Sadak (1917), is a very important work in terms of the history of Ottoman education. Theaim of this research is to transcribe this work, which is valuable in terms of child pedagogy, to provide researchers with new information in this field and to make a small contribution to the world of education. The transcription method was used while translating the work, and then a brief evaluation was made for each section given under separate headings. This work, which can be considered as a special teaching methods book for educators who will teach in primary schools, is important in terms of addressing the issues that teachers will need in the education process in theoretical and practical terms.
