Abstract (EN)

This study was planned to evaluate the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of Postmenopause Sexuality Questionnaire (PMSQ). Menopausal women with a mean age of 60,2 ± 7,6 years participated in the study. The demographic characteristics and obstetric information of the cases were recorded. First of all, PMSQ was adapted into Turkish. In order to determine the sexual activity and menopause-specific quality of life of each case, the Female Sexual Function Scale (FSFI), The Menopause-Specific Quality of Life Scale (MENQOL) and PMSQ were applied. The reliability and validity of the PMSQ; internal consistency, test-retest and criterion validity analyzes were used. According to the results of the study, the internal consistency (Cronbach's α=0,97) and test-retest reliability (r=0,95) of the PMSQ were found to be high (p<0,001). The validity of the criterion was established based on the relationship of PMSQ with the FSFI (r=0,76; p<0,001) and MENQOL (r= -0,47; p<0,001) scores. As a result, it was determined that Turkish version of PMSQ is a valid and reliable scale to evaluation sexual activity in Turkish menopausal women.
