Özet (EN)

Layered double hydroxides are composed by the substitution of metal cations divalent and trivalent. The trivalent metal essentially can be Al or Fe, while the divalent metals are such as Mg, Zn, and Fe. Metal cations, divalent and trivalent, can be changed. This study investigated the impact of metal cation exchange on the structure and characteristics of MgAl-layered double hydroxides. The sol-gel method was used to synthesize the materials, and characterization studies were conducted using XRD, IR, and UV. In FT-IR analysis, the bond va\riation of each sample consisted of MgZnAl and MgZnFeAl, and MgFeAl with different amounts of metal cation concentration was analyzed and compared. XRD studies were done to determine the structural quality of the samples. UV-vis spectroscopy is used to verify the configuration of cations as arrangements within the layers while in a fluid state. Occasionally, when highly pigmented anions (such as decavanadate) are present in the interlayer, their retention groups envelop them. It was demonstrated for the first time that metal cation exchange has a clear effect on the structure and properties of layered double MgAl hydroxides.
