Metin Altıok and his all poems are analysein terms of structur, theme and style

Metin Altıok, who was born in 14th March of 1941 in Bergama, was well-known more than his success at the poetry world ,unfortunately after his death, because of the massacre, which is happened in 1993 at Pir Sultan Abdal festival. Altıok, who is prefer to come on the scene at the 1960?s poetry world, continued to write poems until his death. Altıok, who is a continuation of `İkinci Yeni? in Turkish poetry, had no anxiety of art and form and defends individualism without considering social problems. He has eleven poetry books, one essay book and two representations.Monograph studies keep an important part for literature history researches. In our study, which is prepared as a master thesis, we analysed Metin Altıok?s life, his art and his works of art in a detailed way. We tried to find his place at Turkish literature with appraising his all works of art, articles and all studies which were made about him. His all poems are analysed in terms of structure and theme. We also gave a way to Altıok?s style in our thesis. We have parts of documents, photograps and memories with a wide bibliography in our thesis. The studies which are made for Altıok until today are not enough. We hope that we can cover this deficit with our study.
