Examination of luminescence properties of minerals

ABSTRACTIn this study; TL, RL and absorbtion spectrums of Sanidine and Turquoise minerals has beeninvestigated. As far as I am concerned there is no literature about Turquoise mineral and it has been0found that Turquoise gives a peak at 290 C almost when TL is measured. It has been found that the0Sanidine reveals the spectrum of absorbtion at approximatelly 380 C. In RL measurement it gave a0 0peak at 280nm and 600nm , but in TL measurement it gave peaks at 140 C and 150-280 C. Theseresults show a good aggreement with earlier studies.
