Critical edition and analysis of Molla Khaleel es-Si'irdî's Baseeratu'l-Gulûb fî Kalaami Allaami'l-Ghoyoub (Baqara-Israa)

Molla Halil al-Siirdi is a scholar who lived between 1750 and 1843. He completed his education at various medreses in the eastern part of the Ottoman State. Then he taught them there and raised dozens of scholars. He has also written about forty works in the field of Islamic sciences. The scholars who are educated, and the writings they have written, bear witness that he is an important scholar. Among his works are two books of tafseer. One is relatively short and the other is more detailed; but it is embroiled. Although there are some other differences between the two interpretations bearing the name of Baseeratu'l-Kulûb fî Kalaami Allaami'l-Ghoyoub, the most obvious difference is the length and the shortness. We will thoroughly examine and analyze the Bakara-Isra part within the scope of our thesis; but it is the short one. In this work, the author used Tafseer al-Beydavî as the main source. It is to summarize and facilitate it. Molla Halil does not just summarize Tafseer al-Baydavî, but he also made quotes from his most famous poets, Hashiyet Sheykhzaade ala'l-Baydavî and another haşiyesi Hashiyet Isamıddin ala'l-Baydavî. Another source that the author uses is Tafseer al-Jalalyen. Basîretu'l-kulub was formed by bringing together a different expression and order from the four works mentioned above. Beginning with the sura of al-Bakara and ending with the sura of al-Fatiha, the language of the work is simple and self-correcting. The verses and the commentary are given in the same text flow. Linguistic-belagî analyzes have been made; but sometimes references to fiqh and theological issues have been referred to the relevant resource. In the work written by means of dirâyet method, various reports including Hadith were also used. Although it is rarely pointed out to his well-being, the narrations have not been subject to criticism according to the Hadith Method. There is some isra'iliyyat knowledge in the work. Ishari / mystical interpretations are rare.
