An analysis of Molla Halil es-Si'ridî's Nehcü'l-Enâm terms of rhetoric

Molla Halil es-Si'irdî, XVIII. the second half of the century and the XIX. lived in the first half of the century, He is one of the Ottoman period scholars/authors who lived in century and became one of the most important links of the oriental madrasah tradition with his teaching and copyright activities. Molla Halil, who received his scientific education from the great scholars of the most important science centers of the period such as Van, Siirt, Cizre, Mosul and Imadiyye, as well as Bitlis, wrote dozens of works in many of the Islamic sciences. Molla Halil es-Si'irdî, with his more than forty works, his scientific personality and educational activities, despite all the financial impossibilities of the period he lived in, accelerated the scientific activity in his own time. He wrote most of his works in prose and some in verse. One of his poetic works, which reveals his poetry and command of the Arabic language, is his work called Nehcü'l-Enâm, in which he deals with issues related to akaid, mysticism and morality. In this bilingual work, Molla Halil has used all the arts and styles of Arabic Language Rhetoric with great mastery. This study, which deals with Molla Halil's work called Nehcü'l-Enâm, consists of two parts. In the first part, the life, scientific personality and works of the author are given. In this context, his work called Nehcü'l-Enâm, which forms the basis of the study, is emphasized. In the second part of the study, Molla Halil's Nehcü'l-Enâm was examined in terms of rhetoric. In this context, firstly, the art and styles of the science of me'ani used in Nehcü'l-Enâm were analyzed, then the art and styles of the science of declaration and bedi' were determined respectively and interpreted with examples.
