An application on the advantages of accounting information systems in terms of management functions: MADO example

Information has become one of the key elements of businesses that they need for competition with globalization and the rapid changes that occur in the field of technology. Businesses make use of various information systems to obtain the data that they need. Different systems producing information are available in the enterprise. Accounting information system is one of these ones. The aim of this study is to determine the factors affecting the effectiveness of the accounting information system and the effectiveness of the effectiveness of the accounting information system in terms of the advantages of management functions. In this context, after examining the basic concepts and the concept of accounting information system, a research was conducted on the Mado business operating in Kahramanmaraş. The survey method, which is a qualitative data collection technique, was used in the research. The data obtained were analyzed by factor analysis, correlation analysis, independent sample t test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), and the hypotheses and sociodemographic questions in the research were tested. According to the Factor Analysis, three dimensions emerged. These dimensions are; the effectiveness of the accounting information system, the effect of the accounting information system on business decisions, the effect of the accounting information system on the effectiveness of business management. According to these dimensions, the effectiveness of management functions in the Mado business of the accounting information system has been revealed. As a result of this study; It has been determined that there is a significant relationship between age and education level and accounting information efficiency. Finally, the results of the research were compared with the results of other studies in the literature.
