Özet (EN)
Following the 1848 Revolution, Kossuth declared in 1849 that Hungary threw away Austria and constituted independence when Jozeph, who became Emperor instead of Ferdinand I, declared that he would join Austria and Hungary as one state. Kossuth and his compatriots, who had been defeated against the Russian armies who helped Austria, had to abandon their countries and take shelter in various European countries and the Ottoman State. Sultan Abdulmecid did not deliver Kossuth and other Hungarian refugees to Austria and employed them in the Ottoman state. Konstanty Borzecki is one of the people who asylumed by the Ottoman State. This person, who was one of the Polish nobles, served as a Muslim in the name of Mustafa Celâleddin Pasha for many years in the Ottoman army. He was married to Saffet Hanım, the daughter of the War Brigadier Ömer Pasha, and from this marriage, he had two sons named Hasan Enver (Ferik Hasan Enver Pasha) and Ali Seyfi. Mustafa Celâleddin Pasha, who played an active role in the battles of the Ottoman Empire with Russia, became a martyr in Montenegro on October 10, 1876. During his career in military service, he published articles in various newspapers that addressed the halting aspects of the institutions of the Ottoman State. He took part in the editorial board of the journal Basiret and ensured the journal to support Prussia in the Prussian-French War. Perhaps the most important contribution of Mustafa Celâleddin Pasha to the Turkish modernization is to have his work entitled Les Turcs Anciens et Modernes, which was published in the printing press of the journal Courrier d'Orient in 1869 and dedicated to Sultan Abdülaziz. The work, which claimed that the Turks and Europeans came from the same cultural background by claiming the idea of Turo-Aryanism, caused great repercussions especially in the Turkist circles. With this thesis, the private and military personality of Mustafa Celaleddin Pasha will be examined in all aspects and his place in the Ottoman modernization will be determined. The sources of the matter will be the Prime Ministry Ottoman Archive, General Staff Military History and Strategic Study and Research Archives, Polish data and the Ottoman press organs of the period. While Mustafa Celâleddin Pasha's scientific studies and contributions to the field of Turkish thought are being determined, his work Les Turcs Anciens et Modernes will be utilized, and while the stronghold model he established on the Ottoman Iran border is being studied, Pasha's notebook and memories of the period will be used. Key Words: Mustafa Celâleddin Paşa, Ottoman Modernization, Poland, Old and Modern Turks, Turo-Aryanism
