Values ​​education in Nazlı Eray's children's books and examining the works in terms of Turkish vocabulary

The aim of the study is to examine the works written by Nazlı Eray for children in terms of their contributions to values education and Turkish vocabulary.In this context, the works of Frej Apartment's Mystery, Enchanted Beyoğlu (Two-Headed Topaç Villy), Night Flower Istanbul, Karga Feramuz's Love, I Loved an Insect, Crystal Octopus and Purple Pearl and Seeing Eyes Hearing Ears are discussed.Document analysis technique, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. While the works discussed in the study are examined in terms of values, the "justice, giving importance to family unity, independence, peace, scientificness, industriousness, solidarity, sensitivity, aesthetics, honesty, freedom, equality, love, respect, responsibility, thrift, patriotism and helpfulness" values were used.While examining the contribution of the determined children's literature works to the Turkish vocabulary, idioms, proverbs, stereotypes, reflection words and reduplications were discussed. As a result of the findings obtained from the study, 39 in the Secret of Frej Apartment, 33 in Magical Beyoğlu (Two-Headed Topaç Villy), 36 in Night Flower Istanbul, 51 in Crow's Love Feramuz, 16 in Billur Octopus and Purple Pearl in business. In the Eyes Hearing, Eyes Hearing, and Ears study, 29, 19 values were determined.While the values of benevolence f(42), love f(37) and freedom f(32) are the most common values in the analyzed works, no findings related to the values of independence, peace and patriotism were encountered. As a result of the findings obtained in the results of the study, 229 in the book The Mystery of Frej Apartment, 336 in the work of Magical Beyoğlu (Two-Headed Topaç Villy), 384 in the work of Night Flower Istanbul, 562 in the work of Crow Feramuz's Love, 358 in the work I Loved an Insect, 358 in the work of Billur Octopus and Purple Pearl. 354 elements of Turkish vocabulary were identified in his work, Eyes that See, Hears, and 489 elements of Turkish vocabulary. Turkish vocabulary elements (idiom, proverb, reflection word, reduplication, formulaic word) are presented in tables. Suggestions for the use of Nazlı Eray's children's books in the context of teaching values and Turkish vocabulary are presented.
