His work named Necmeddîn el-Gazzî and el-Kevâkibu's-Sâire

Najmeddin al-Ghazzi was one of the important scholars who lived in Damascus, Syria in the 17th century. He wrote many works in the fields of hadith, jurisprudence, grammar, grammar and biography. He also has many poems. Ghazzi's most famous work is al-Kawākibu's-Sāira, in which he wrote the lives of scholars who lived in the 10th century of the Hijra. In this work, Ghazzi included the lives of one thousand five hundred and fifty two people, while also reflecting the social, scientific and cultural life of the period in which the people he wrote about lived. Our study consists of an introduction, two sections and a conclusion. The introduction examines the emergence, development and types of biographical works in Arabic literature. The first section examines the political, cultural and social situation of the period in which Ghazzi lived, as well as his life and works. The second section includes information on the subject, importance, purpose, sources and works that he used as sources, and the content of Ghazzi's biographical work, al-Kawaqibu's-Saira. In particular, the scientific, cultural and literary situation of the period has been tried to be revealed in the context of the content of Ghazzi's work.
