Abstract (EN)
Reviews of the characters in Haldun Taner's stories were mostly based on the personality traits of the characters. In this study, the interaction between object and characters in stories was investigated. As a result of this investigation, objects that affect the personality characteristic of the characters, their relationships with the environment and their status were determined. The relationship between object and characters consist of social and individual factors. Social factors are mainly related to the economic dimension of objects and this relationship is explained by the concept of "meta fetishism". In object-human relations, where individual factors are predominant, the concept of "Einfühlung" and "fetishism" are mentioned in relation to sexual associations n objects. In addition, the interest between the object and the character chosen as the reflection of individual's own self (narcissistic individual) has been examined.
