Abstract (EN)
Aim: The aim of the study is to evaluate themusculoskeletal disorders and physical activity levels of office workers, determine the relationship between musculoskeletal disorders and physical activity levels. Material and Method: 255 people were included in the survey in Diyarbakır province SGK. Persons were assessed for age, gender, height, weight, educational status, marital status, years of employment, duration of computer use, and regular physical activity habits.. The Turkish version of the Cornell Musculoskeletal Discomfort Questionnaire survey was used to assess Musculoskeletal System Diseases and the Short Form of the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) was used to determine the level of physical activity. Dependent variables of research; the presence of pain in the eleven body regions, and the total Cornell score for musculoskeletal disorders during the last week of study. The independent variables are regular physical activity habit, physical activity level, age, sex, study period and daily computer usage. Results: In the office workers, it was determined that neck (59.6%), upper back (58.8%) and low back (55.3%) were the most affected regions in terms of KISh frequency. When sociodemographic and work related characteristics were examined in relation to Total Cornell Score, gender, regular physical activity and physical activity level were found to be significantly correlated with Total Cornell score (p <0,05). When the presence of musculoskeletal disorders according to the level of physical activity was assessed, only the shoulder, back and upper arm pain were associated with physical activity level. (p = 0.04, p = 0.03, p = 0.00, respectively) Conclusion: Musculoskeletal diseases in office workers are most commonly seen in the spine (neck, waist, back). The physical activity levels of office workers are related to musculoskeletal disorders (KISH). Employees with sufficient physical activity level have less shoulder, back and upper arm pain.
