Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research is to study and review opinions and views of lecturers, instructors and prospective teachers related to the usage of instructional technologies (Example of Gazi Training Faculty)Population of the Study consisted of Lecturers/Instructors working at the Faculty of Gazi Eğitim (Education), Gazi University and of prospective teachers studying at the Faculty. The sample of study however consists of Lecturers/Instructors who are working at Departments of the primary school, secondary school Science and Mathematics Educational Branches and Secondary school Social Educational Branches and Educational Sciences of the Faculty of Gazi Education, Gazi University and prospective teachers (to be selected at adequate numbers) studying at Departments of the primary school, secondary school Science and Mathematics Educational Branches and Secondary school Social Educational Branches of the Faculty of Gazi Education, Gazi University.A questionnaire has been conducted for 121 lecturers and 677 prospective teachers at the Faculty, selected by means of proportionate cluster sampling method. At the research whole of the sample size has been reached.Two separate questionnaires have been used at the research as the means of data collection. One of the Questionnaires was conducted for lecturers and the other one for the prospective teachers. Validation and reliability of both questionnaires have been ensured. At the phase of determination of data collection tools a literature review related with the subject and previous similar studies have been reviewed, and tools and means have been prepared initially as a draft and then opinions of experts have been taken and then they have been concluded as to a state which can be easily understood by participants.According to findings of the study, while instructors said that they have often used technologies with plain structure, the prospective teachers pointed out however that technologies were seldom used by the instructors. Both the instructors and the prospective teachers stated that Audio-Visual technologies were never used by the instructors. While instructors said that they have seldom used integrated technologies, the prospective teachers pointed out that instructors have never used such technologies.Instructors stated that they did not use technologies due to various discrepancies and inadequacies, and that they have experienced lack of time. According to views of the prospective teachers however instructors are not using technologies in their courses usually due to lack of time or their absence in the school or in the classroom.The prospective Teachers are finding beneficial and advantageous the implementations of technologies used by instructors at their courses and they have been thinking positive for their utilization of technology.The instructors at the faculty have been thinking that technology must allow at a University to access to sources of courses online and presence of digital library and in terms of use in the faculty the technology is at the average level compared to other contemporaries available in Turkey and in the World.
