Abstract (EN)

This study aims to examine the contribution of the education provided at Çankırı Belediyesi Fatih Sultan Mehmet Çocuk Akademisi, which stands out as an example of localization in education and out-of-school learning environments, to the development of the children attending the academy. The research group of this study consists of 10 teachers and 16 parents of students attending the Çankırı Belediyesi Fatih Sultan Mehmet Çocuk Akademisi during the 2021-2022 academic year. The study follows a qualitative research method and adopts a case study design. Data of the study was collected through semi-structured interviews. The study reveals that Çankırı Belediyesi Fatih Sultan Mehmet Çocuk Akademisi significantly contributes to the overall development of children and is positively evaluated by parents and teachers. To further enrich the learning experiences, increasing the number and quality of out-of-school learning environments is recommended. Based on the findings, recommendations are provided for researchers, practitioners, and local authorities.
