Abstract (EN)

This research has two main purposes. The first purpose is to develop a measurement tool to measure which approaches are shown towards the differences of employees in schools, based on Dass and Parker's (1999) classification; The second aim is to reveal the approaches to the management of differences in schools according to teachers' perceptions. In this direction, the research was prepared in accordance with the survey model, which is one of the quantitative research methods. The research data were collected through the Diversity Management Approaches Scale developed within the scope of the research. The sample of the study consists of 333 teachers working in Siirt city centre, Eruh, Şirvan, Tillo and Pervari districts. Within the scope of the research, the Diversity Management Approaches Scale was developed in the first stage. Using this scale, teachers' perceptions of diversity management approaches and whether their perceptions differ according to their socio-demographic characteristics (gender, marital status, seniority, length of service at school, length of education, level of education, regional/cultural feeling of the school and union membership) examined. In line with the findings obtained in the study, some suggestions were developed and these were presented in the suggestions section of the study.
