Analysi̇s of the relati̇onshi̇p between self - suffi̇cency and self - respect i̇n terms of i̇nterpersonel of teachers

This research examines relation ship between self-sufficiency and self-respect in terms of interpersonal relations of teachers. Inorderto do that a group of 286 teachers in Maltepe district in İstanbul is chosenandeach of thosegiven a self-description form, an interpersonal self –sufficiency scaleand a self-respectscale. Inanalysis of there search results, for normal distribution in dependent samples t-test, oneway analysis of variance, non parametric Krsukal Wallis-H test, non-parametric Mann Whitney-U test, and for the comparison between two scales a product moment correlation is used. Test of significance was conducted at 0.05. Othersare given in related charts. This present research sets forth that; Teacher shave a high level of self-sufficiency in class management both coming from interperson a suppor from administrator and colleaguesand from themselves. Higher self-respect in teachers brings higher interpersonal self-respect. Female teachers show a higher tendencytoget support from collea gues comparing male teachers' tendency. Also female teachers have a higher self-respect than male eachers. MedicalVocational High School teachershave a higher self-sufficiencyt hanthose of Anatolian High Schools and İmam-Hatip High Schools. Vocational High School teachershave a higher self-sufficiencythan İmam-Hatip High School teachers.
