While collecting the data, Scale of Problem Solving for Children and Cognitive Flexibility Inventory for parents was used. Data, frequency and percentage distribution collected form the research was evaluated using Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Shapiro-Wilks test, Anova test, Tukey test, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis test and correlation analysis. Results: The research shows that there is a meaningful and positive relationship between control mother point and Problem Solving Ability Scale point. (r=0.712; p<0.05). Problem Solving Ability Scale point increases as the control mother point increases. Again in the alternative sub-dimensions themes there is a meaningful and positive relationship between control mother point and Problem Solving Ability Scale point. (r=0.709; p<0.05). In this context Problem Solving Ability Scale point increases as the mother point in the alternative sub-dimensions increases. There is a meaningful and positive relationship between control father point and Problem Solving Ability Scale point. (r=0.723; p<0.05). Problem Solving Ability Scale point increases as the control father point increases. Again in the alternative sub-dimensions themes there is a meaningful and positive relationship between father point and Problem Solving Ability Scale point. (r=0.740; p<0.05). In this context Problem Solving Ability Scale point increases as the father point in the alternative sub-dimensions increases. Conclusion: A positive relationship was found when the children's problem solving abilities and the parents' cognitive flexibility were studied in control and alternative sub-dimensions Key Words: Cognitive Flexibility, Preschool, Problem Solving Ability.
