In the research, explanatory sequential design, one of the mixed research methods in which quantitative and qualitative research designs are used together, was used. The population of the research consists of preschool teachers working in Diyarbakır in the 2022-2023 academic year. In the study, quantitative data was collected with the participation of 350 teachers selected among pre-school teachers working in Diyarbakır in the 2022-2023 academic year. "Solid Waste and Recycling Attitude Scale" and an interview form prepared by the researcher were used as data collection tools. In the research, quantitative data were analyzed with the SPSS program. Independent sample t-test and one-way analysis of variance (one-way ANOVA) were used in the analysis of quantitative data. Descriptive analysis was used to analyze qualitative data. This study aims to evaluate the attitudes of preschool teachers working in Diyarbakır on solid waste and recycling and their opinions on the activities they carry out on this subject. The research aims to raise awareness in this field through a detailed analysis of these attitudes and opinions and to offer suggestions for relevant policies and practices. The fact that preschool teachers have a high level of attitude towards environmental awareness and solid waste recycling reveals that these issues should be covered more effectively in the education curriculum. It is considered important that education policies and programs should address solid waste and recycling issues more comprehensively in order to increase environmental sustainability awareness. Additionally, it is recommended that necessary arrangements be made so that teachers can access more resources and materials on these subjects.
