Estimating the level of gaining responsibility of 5-6 years old preschool students according to parents and teachers thoughts

The main aim of the research is estimating the level of gaining responsibility of 5-6 years old preschool students according to parents and teachers thoughts.This study is a descriptive study and is conducted into two stages which are interviews to parents and a questionnaire applied to teachers. At the first stage of the study, semi configured non-instructive conversation technique was used as data gathering method. Samples of parent interviews are consist of 20 parents whose children are studying at Çanakkale city center preschools in 2009-2010 education years.At this stage descriptive analysis was used to analyze the data gathered from parents? interview forms. Interview notes were described as nearly original. At the second stage of the study, the sample consists of 100 preschool teacher employed in Çanakkale city center in 2009-2010 education year. Data were analyzed according to statistical methods.The data achieved by the study results was analyzed by the help of SPSS program. While evaluating the result, gender, the school graduated from and service time variables are tested by statistical tests whether they result in a significant difference, or not. Achieved results were given in the tables in detail.The results obtained from the first stage showed that parents believe the importance of responsibility education and willing to improve responsibility acquiring level.It is seen that the results obtained from the second stage and evidences obtained from interviews are supporting each other.
