The effects of organizational trust concept on organizitional commitment with regard to the teachers (A survey on vocational high schools of tourism)

This study in which the effects of organisational trust on organisational commitment with regard to the teachers have been studied, 332 teachers working in Vocational High Schools of Tourism in Turkey have participated in.The severity of the need to organisational commitment in providing the institutions with success and efficiency and that one of the most important conditions of commitment of the staff to the organisation is organisational commitment create the starting point of this study. The quality of the product especially in businesses of service providing is highly affected by the quality of the inter-personal and intra-institutional relation of the staff. Educational Institutions are among the service-providing organisations. Success and efficiency in these organisations are the result of the quality of the relations of the teachers with each others, students, and their institutions.In literature study within this context, organisational trust and commitment have been deeply studied. Then, the, evaluation medium has been applied to the teachers of Vocational High School of Tourism and the data has been analysed with SPSS 11.5 software. As the result of statistical analyses, it has been found that organisational trust has an important effect on emotional commitment and normative commitment with regard to the teacher. Besides, this detected relation has been reviewed with regard to some demographic variations. Among these results, the lack of relation between the trust to the manager and emotional commitment with regard to the contractual staff has been remarkably noticed. Moreover, among the results of this study are the secondary relation between the factors of organisational trust and emotional and normative commitment of teachers and the differentiation of this relation due to some demographic variations.
