A meta analytical research on the antecedents and the outcomes of organizational cynicism

The study aims at finding out whether there is a significant relationship between organizational cynicism and the analysed concepts, and if any, to determine the direction and the significance level of this relationship. In this meta analytic research on the relationship between organizational cynicism and its antecedents - outcomes, some organizational concepts having been studied together with organizational cynicism in the literature have been analysed. The study second part of the study contains the content, the description, the theoretical development and a detailed literature review about organizational cynicism. After that, in the third part, a general literature review about the antecedents and the outcomes of organizational cynicism mentioned in the literature are presented subsequently. The fourth part is reserved for meta analysis and it gives meta analytical findings about the relationship of each related concept with organizational cynicism. In the study, three subgroups, the origin of the publication, the publication type, and the sector from which the samples are taken, have been analysed by a meta analytical process. As the result of the meta analytical process, some of the concepts studied together with organizational cynicism in the literature are found out to have high relationship with organisational cynicism while some others are found out to have a moderate level. Among the antecedents of organisational cynicism, organisational trust and organisational support respectively have been decided to have the most significant relationship between organizational cynicism. Of the meta-analysed outcomes of organisational cynicism, organizational commitment and turnover intention have been found out to have the most significant relationship with organisational cynicism.
