Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, it is aimed to propose a space design in which older adults and young adults can live together within the framework of co-living by conveying the changes in family, old age, young adulthood and business life in the context of changing daily life practices. In this content, in the introduction part of the thesis: After explaining the research method, scope and limitations, in the first part, the change in the structure of the family and how the house was reshaped with the emergence of the nuclear family were emphasized. In the following, the emergence of the concept of co-living, its origin processes and motivations are given together with examples of the concepts of co-living that have emerged recently. In the second part of the study, related concepts related to how user profiles are determined and supported by statistical data, how these profiles come together is revealed. By presenting similar cases, the interactions of these profiles with each other are mentioned. In the third part, the design approach to be followed for the proposed space is explained. In this content, adaptive reuse is emphasized, organization and functions are given with diagrams, taking into account the characteristics of the users. Within the scope of the design approach, a furniture proposal was made for the users. In the conclusion part, inferences were conveyed in line with the data obtained within the scope of the thesis study and suggestions were made for future studies by specifying the points that were not mentioned in this study or were excluded from the study due to the scope and limitations of the study.
