Evaluation of factors affecting secondary school students 'participation and participation in sports in terms of some variables (Example of Şanlıurfa province)

The research was conducted to determine the reasons that affect the participation and participation of students studying in secondary education in physical education and sports. The research is a research in the scanning model. The screening model is a research approach that aims to describe a situation that existed in the past or existed as it exists. The population of the research consists of students studying in the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades of secondary education in Şanlıurfa in the 2018-2019 academic year, and the sample is 994 students selected randomly from these students. In the research, a questionnaire was used as a collection tool for obtaining data. Scope validity and reliability study was carried out for the comprehensibility of the survey. The Cronbach's Alpha reliability coefficient of the questionnaire was found to be 0.809. The questionnaires were applied one-on-one with the participants. In this way, a total of 994 individuals, 567 women and 427 men, answered the questionnaires. The data obtained were transferred to the appropriate statistical program to be evaluated. Frequency (%) distribution, crosstab (crosstab) and chi-square X2 tests were applied as statistical process. According to the results of his research, it is seen that there are no statistically significant differences in the level of significance of 0.05 in terms of gender, and there are significant differences in terms of the location of the school (p <0.05).
