Research of secondary school students views related to music lesson according to teacher variable

The purpose of this research; is to determine whether there are significant differences in the analysis of secondary school students' perceptions of music lesson according to teacher variable in secondary schools connected to National Education. The screening model was used to conduct this research. The data of the study have been collected through 'Survey and Unstructured Interview Form' which has been developed by the researcher, receiving expert opinions. The study group of the research consists of 694 students studying in the Central District of Adıyaman province in 2017-2018 academic year. In these four schools, which are designated as the study group of the research, music lessons are conducted by graduates of music teachers, class teachers and other graduates. In the analysis of the data, Kruskal-Wallis, Mann Whitney U tests and descriptive analysis method have been used. In the analysis made, the significance value has been considered as p <0.05. According to the results obtained in the research; It was found that there were significant differences in the opinions of the students in the study group about music lesson. It was found out that the students in the school where the teacher of music education graduated from, liked the music lesson more than the other schools in the research and ıt was concluded that they achieved the course gains at a higher level. In line with these results, it was suggested that music graduates of music education department should conduct music lessons.
