Abstract (EN)

One of the rich genres of Uzbek oral folk literature is riddles. Riddles, which were born in the oral culture environment and passed down from generation to generation, exist with the desire to suddenly attract attention in a mixed narrative of prose, verse and sometimes prose, which are intertwined with culture and tradition, reflect the society in which they exist, make people think about the race and culture they belong to, and are supported by elements of harmony. In this study, Uzbek Riddles (Structures, Language Features, Tranference to Türkiye Turkish, Dictionary) were examined. In the Introduction of our study, which consists of five main chapters, what a riddle is, the definitions given by researchers for riddles, and the studies on Uzbek riddles in Uzbekistan and Turkey are given first. Then, studies on riddles in Contemporary Turkish dialects were mentioned. In the second part, examples of the formal features and harmony elements of the riddles are presented under the title of Structure in Uzbek Riddles. In the third section, remarkable examples are given under Language features. In the fourth chapter, the main text that is the subject of our study has been translated into Turkey Turkish. In the fifth chapter, an Index (dictionary) was also prepared and the vocabulary was tried to be given.
