The relationships between organizational culture and perceptions of special education school teachers

In this study, it was aimed to determine "The Relationship between Organizational Culture and Competence Perceptions in Special Education Institutions". The research is designed in scanning model. The accessible universe of the research consists of 200 special education teachers working in public and private schools and institutions in Kırsehir city center and districts in the 2020-2021 academic year. In the research, sampling from the universe was not used and it was tried to reach all of the teachers in the universe. The number of participants in the study was 188 units. The data were collected with the help of the "Organizational Culture Scale" developed and the "Ohio Teacher Competency Scale" originally. The data were analyzed with the help of SPSS 25 package program. The findings of the study were found to be 0.169 between the self-efficacy perceptions of teachers working in special education schools and institutions and the support culture sub-dimension of school culture; It showed that there is a low positive correlation between the culture of success at the level of 0.148. It has been determined that there is no significant difference between the teachers' opinions in terms of gender, age, education level, working year in the institution according to the organizational culture sub-dimensions. Support culture perception contains significant differences according to professional seniority variable. According to this, it was determined that the difference in scores between the support culture score averages of teachers with 0-5 years of tenure and the opinions of teachers with tenure of 6-10 years and 16 years or more was significant. The findings obtained within the scope of the research were discussed on the basis of the relevant literature and some suggestions developed based on the findings were also presented.
