An overview of studies of psychology of religion in Pakistan

Pakistan; It is a Muslim country with a very dense population, which has recently gained its independence, is experiencing political uncertainties due to conflicts with its neighboring country. This dense population causes the country to struggle with poverty. Problems in the country affect people's mental health. With the deterioration of the individual, there is also deterioration in the society. In this sense, societies need to confront and struggle with their social problems in order to progress in a healthier way. When people encounter problems that they cannot overcome, they often need to take shelter in a being they see as stronger than themselves. This entity differs between religions. In this context, while psychology studies the behavior of the individual, the psychology of religion examines the reflection of the religion believed in human behavior and reveals some data. This study was written in order to examine the studies written in the field of psychology of religion in Pakistan, to determine which subjects are focused on in this field, and to reveal the similarities of the related studies with the studies conducted in different countries. This study, which was carried out by following the qualitative research method; book, article and thesis were examined by literature review.
