Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out to determine the changes in satellite images of different leaf nitrogen content of cottonxplant, to estimate the nitrogen status in the plant with the help of satellite images, to determine the nitrogen requirements in the areas of wide cotton production by using satellite images and to make recommendations for the application of nitrogen, in 6 different locations with 3 replications in randomized plot design in Mardin ecological conditions. In this study, physiomorphological traits (leaf nitrogen content, leaf SPAD value, leaf area index, normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) and seed cotton yield) were investigated. SCOPE and RAPIDEYE satellite images were used in this study. In terms of all the physico-morphological traits examined, differences between the leaf nitrogen contents were statistically significant. It was concluded that the correlation between all the physico-morphological traits examined with the leaf nitrogen content is statistically significant. Althought the linear relation between leaf nitrogen content and leaf SPAD value, leaf area index was determined, there was a quatratic relationship between leaf nitrogen content and NDVI, seed cotton yield. It is recommended to use RE_RED and GI_RE from the studied satellite bands/vegetative indices to estimate the leaf nitrogen content.
