Performance increase by using enterprise resource planning in supply chain management: An application

Due to the technological advances in recent years, companies realized theimportance of collaboration and communication and thus began to look over therelationship both between suppliers and customers in terms of mutually beneficial foreach. A typical supply chain consists of manufacturers, distributers, suppliers andcustomers. With supply chain management it is easy for companies to manageinformation, material and money flows within the supply chain.As a result of rapid development in information technologies, organizationsbegan to use enterprise resource planning software in order to make it easier to managethe whole supply chain. This study investigates the real impact of enterprise resourceplanning to supply chain management and performance increases in organizations.
