Abstract (EN)

Performance appraisal system is one of the most important parts of human resource management. The greatest benefit that organizations expect from a performance appraisal system is to increase the profit of the organization. An organization aiming to increase its profits should not disregard the perception of its employees about the performance appraisal system the organization uses. This study is based on a well-established production sector company which conducts a performance appraisal system. The study explores the relationship between the satisfaction gained from performance appraisal system and perceived system knowledge, organizational justice and job satisfaction. It also inspects whether the satisfaction gained from performance appraisal system varies depending on gender and education variables. SPSS program was utilized in the determination of these relationships. At the end of the study it was concluded that there is a positive relationship between the satisfaction of the employees from performance appraisal and perceived system knowledge, organizational justice and job satisfaction. It was also concluded that the satisfaction gained from performance appraisal system does not show any differences with respect to gender variable but education level variable affects the outcome.
