Abstract (EN)
Along with the Industrial Revolution in 19th century, the modernization process of Europe has led to a radical transition process in the relationship between audience and art object. With the effect of this process, the borders between the audience and the art object have been removed, and new alternatives have emerged in traditional exhibition methods. Known as the White Cube, the neutral exhibition spaces of the modernist thought went through deconstruction. There has been a new monitoring practice between the space and the audience, between the audience and the art object, and between the art object and the space. After the 1950s, the artists, who brought conceptual subdivisions together with space-object-audience-time items, created "experienceable" spaces into and out of them. Thus, the position of the audience against the object of art has changed and has now taken the participant position, which is the part that completes the work. The space has become a situation rather than being just a place.
