Özet (EN)

This research has been conducted to investigate the effects of 8-week plyometric training on 14-16 years old female volleyball players. A total of 30 female players who compete in the regional volleyball league have participated in voluntarily in the research, where 15 of those were classified in each control and experimental groups. The control group and experiment group have participated in daily training for 8 weeks. The experiment group, in addition to daily trainings, has conducted 2-day plyometric training. Each players' before and after - weight, height, parallel jumping, vertical jumping, back strength, claw power, 30 seconds sit-ups test, bio-impedance values recorded. Paired Samples t- test was used to analyze the before and after test values of the experiment group, Whereas the Independent Sample t-test was used to compare values of the experiment group and control group. Based on the comparison, the results were being investigated in 0.05 – 0.01 influence interval. According to the results derived from the experimental group' before and after test data, significant changes were observed in claw power, parallel jump, vertical jump, 30 seconds sit-ups and weight. (p<0.01, p<0.05). According to the Independent Sample t-test, which was used to compare the end results of the experiment and control groups, significant changes were observed in vertical jump and 30 seconds sit-ups. (p<0.01, p<0.05). As a result, it's found that the 8 week plyometric training has a positive effect on 14-16 years old female volleyball players' vertical jumping and 30 second sit-ups values.
